[...OF RELATIONSHIPS!!]
lol...blogville has been buzzing with the same theme lately. Well, i got this and thot i'd share. Some of it is err/some i took with a pinch of salt/some made sense. You decide!!!
Is it that relationship that is bothering you? Or is it that step you want to take towards that other direction that you are not sure of?... C’mon, therez a way out: Let me be your anchor as I take you thru, the TEN COMMANDMENTS to making that relationship work:
COMMANDMENT ONE: THOU SHALL NOT KEEP SECRETS!!!
A lot of people are too secretive in their relationships and guess what? Secrecy leads to suspicion and suspicion to an eventual break-up and I need not tell you that a break-up, leaves two broken hearts gasping for breath…well, that’s when some run straight into another one just to get over the former…oh! That’s very bad.
COMMANDMENT TWO: THOU SHALL LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP!!!
He loves me!!! Oh My God…then you fall from one relationship to another, not taking precautions, and you know what next? you meet the UNEXPECTED UNPREPARED!! Don’t you know you have just one heart? By the time you share it around, there will be nothing left for your spouse! Be sure you take a rain check on your “WISH LIST” b4 you pick and be sure your “WISH LIST” tallies with God’s LIST.
COMMANDMENT THREE: THOU SHALL LISTEN TO OTHER PEOPLE!!!
Well, its destructive to listen to what people have to say about a person, but guess what?!!!it’s 100% good, 100% bad, 100% safe and 100% unsafe, this is bcos, for everything said, there is an atom of truth, whether from grudges or from a sincere heart, its then left to you to compare the “GIST” WITH THE PERSON YOU KNOW FOR YOURSELF. Concluding on the two factors independent of each other is not healthy, when you get into marriage, it is then safer to deal with the person you know rather than what you hear… The safest is still to know the person for yourself, so don’t digest all infos you get about your partner from outsiders…cross check!!!!
COMMANDMENT FOUR: THOU SHALL LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY!!!
The truth is, when a person braces up enough to tell you the truth about a situation, DON’T VICTIMIZE them for doing the right thing. The best quality you can ever ask God for in a partner is a man/woman of truth, if your partner can tell you the truth about a situation, you must be able to forgive him/her, rather than take such a bold step for granted… Love for the sake of truth.
COMMANDMENT FIVE: THOU SHALL NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF COMMANDMENT FOUR!!!
The fact that you are good at telling the truth does not mean you should always do the wrong things intentionally and come back to tell the truth, if you keep doing that, there are two things at stake;
1. The sanity of your relationship
2. The sanity of your partner, that’s why commandment six says
COMMANDMENT SIX: THOU SHALL NOT RUN YOUR PARTNER MAD!!!
Don’t gather too many problems in your relationship, you will discover that most of these problems are avoidable. Immaturity is usually the reason for so many problems… THOU SHALL GROW O!!!
COMMANDMENT SEVEN: THOU SHALL NOT STRUGGLE TO KEEP HIM/HER
If you have tried everything to make it work, don’t waste your energy…walk out for good. Be sure that the measures you have taken does not include sex or physical intimacy, coz, nothing ever works out that way. At the same time, ensure that you press all necessary buttons. If nothing, its an indicator that he/she is no longer into you.
COMMANDMENET EIGHT: THOU SHALL HEAL B4 JUMPING ON ANOTHER BUS!!!
A lot of people carry over wounds from past relationships into new ones and guess what? The wound only gets deeper. You need to give yourself peace of mind… don’t kill yourself. Stay and get healed b4 accepting another proposal or giving one yourself… stop replaying same mistakes.
COMMANDMENT NINE: THOU SHALL NOT CALL ANY MAN OR WOMAN BAD!!!
That guy or girl is not good to you bcos, he/she is not meant for you, so b4 you say he/she is bad, know that the person who is bad for you simply means he/she is good for someone else, so FIND YOUR OWN MAN/WOMAN.
COMMANDMENT TEN: THOU SHALL LOVE!!!
You were made to love, so that rubbish you are saying that YOU WILL NEVER LOVE AGAIN is crap, get over past failures and be ready to love again. If you continue like this, you will never enjoy the gains from Genesis 2:18… (READ IT).
Of course there is always COMMANDMENT ELEVEN: THOU SHALL NEVER LEAVE GOD OUT!!!
The last thing you should ever do is to leave God out of your relationship, you will only struggle to keep it and guess what? you may lose all you have worked for in one day, so involving God saves you a lot of stress….
...AND there you have it people...straight out of the relationship bible. Print it and study it!! [just kidding oh, lol]
Hope you all are doing great. Have a fantabulous weekend, my good people.

Commandment 9 get serious k-leg. I understand not bad-mouthing people but to say that the reason someone isn't good to you is cos they aren't meant for you is nyeh....a kind person is a kind person is a kind person and he/she will be good to you regardless. It's the same thing for an unkind person.
I love 10 tho. The 3-stranded cord is always stronger and lasts longer than the 2-stranded cord.
